1st Rifle Elk 2024.

“Don’t pass up a bull the first day that you’d shoot on the last”.

Now there’s some old-timer wisdom for you, as Mr. Tran has been hunting with us for years on end. Harvesting this bull on opening morning was a no-brainer for him. Yes, he’s shot older, bigger bulls, but now the pressure is off.

Time to relax back at camp and harass those who haven’t filled their tags yet. While sleeping in and taking in the views.

Lewis buck 2nd rifle 2024

The most fulfilling part of being a hunting guide in Colorado is being able to share special moments like this. a man, husband, and father who has put his family first for many years finally has the opportunity to fulfill his dream of harvesting his first mule deer buck! What a season, and what a moment to take part in. This is why we love what we do!

This camp is where the big bucks call home for the summer and early fall.  These groups of bucks love it at timberline and above. This hunt should offer a great opportunity to harvest a P&Y buck in some of the most spectacular scenery in the Rocky Mountains. We only take a select few archery hunters each year. To spot and stalk a trophy buck with a bow above timberline is not without its challenges, but it is well worth it. A new early rifle season has recently become available that allows rifle hunters a short season to be able to hunt these high country deer before they move down into their winter range. This is one hunt you don’t want to miss.

    WARNING!!!
This hunt is not for everyone.

These mule deer are living at extreme altitudes and tremendously tough country. If you are up to the challenge the game is there for the taking.

East Creek Camp is one of our longest established over-the-counter elk camps. Camp sits along a creek bottom with tall ridges and peaks running both sides. Creek bottoms, avalanche shoots, and high basins make up the topography. The camp has some steep terrain, and the elk like the high ridges. Bulls tend to be  less vocal in this area, but when they do get to talking the bugles echo up and down the valley.
